Carte Blanche Meal Plan
The base plan offers unlimited access
to the Dining Commons. All
students living in Dakin and Merrill Residences
Halls, as well as students living in the
Prescott suites #103, #104, and #105 are required
to be on a this plan.
Voluntary Block Meal Plans
Optional for new first year students housed in modular apartments, continuing students housed in modular apartments Enfield, Greenwich and Prescott (excluding Prescott suites #103, #104, #105), and communter students.
Each block meal counts for One all-you-can-eat visit to our Dining Commons
- 25 all-you-can-eat meals for $145 per semester
- 50 all-you-can-eat meals for $280 per semester
- 75 all-you-can-eat meals for $400 per semester
Cafe Card
This plan provides $80 in Flex Dollars
per semester. These Flex Dollars may be used in
the Dining Commons, or Bridge Café.
Required for all resident, mod, and commuter students .
Cafe Card Upgrades - Access these upgrades via the Hub.
Add Flex Dollars at any time to the required $80 Cafe Card meal plan for convenience and savings. Available to all resident, mod, and commuter students.
- Bronze upgrade: Add $25 and receive a 5% bonus = $110.25 in purchasing power
- Silver upgrade: Add $50 and receive a 7% bonus = $139.10 in purchasing power
- Gold upgrade: Add $75 and receive a 10% bonus = $170.50 in purchasing power
Cafe Card Upgrades
Flex Dollars provide a fast, safe and convenient method of managing campus life. Your Flex Dollar account provides a debit card system and unique money management tool activated through your ID card. Instead of carrying cash, all you have to do is present your Hampshire ID and your Dining Services purchase will automatically be deducted from your personal Flex Dollar account.
Using Your Meal Card
Your Hampshire College ID is your ticket
to the many outlets on campus. With the purchase
of Carte Blanche Meal Plans and/or Flex Plan Dollars,
you must present your ID when you visit for meals
in the Dining Commons or Bridge Café.
Please remember that the January term is considered
part of the Fall semester. Additional Flex
Dollars and your original flex dollars that you have on your card will carry over
from the Fall to the Spring semesters, but are
lost at the end of Spring semester.
Lost meal Cards
Please report your lost meal card to
Dining Services immediately. We will put a hold
on your card while you visit the Business Office
on the second floor of Blair Hall for a new or
temporary card.
Specialty Dietary Needs
Our team is experienced in accommodating
special diets for our students who have a medical
need. We strive to privide a complete, convenient
dining experience for those with special requirements.
If you are on a special diet by doctor's orders
or for religous reasons, arrangements may be made
to provide for your dining needs. Simply contact
the Dining Services Office at extension 5750 or
at 413.549.2840 if you're off-campus.
Meals on the Run
We understand how hectic a college student's
life can be, with athletics, clubs, and jobs in
addition to classes. To help accommodate busy
schedules, specialty bag lunches and dinners are
available in the Dining Commons when schedules
conflict. Students participating in the 5-college
meal exchange may also benefit from this perk
while taking classes at the four other schools.
